Dear Friends:

This fall begins the much anticipated Capital Campaign to make our church barrier-free. This Capital Campaign is to fulfill the resolution passed at our April Congregational Meeting to solicit pledges to determine the resources available to make our church barrier-free, and if enough funds are raised, to expand our space. Enclosed you will find a pledge card for your consideration.

This Capital Campaign includes the formation of a Capital Campaign Committee, responsible for planning the activities and information to inform the congregation as we prayerfully consider and commit to our family’s pledge. During this fall campaign, you will have the opportunity to participate in a “dinner of nine” where you will meet with Melodie or me to discuss the campaign while enjoying fellowship with fellow members. In addition to the enclosed brochure, we invite you to visit the Capital Campaign website at www.appc.us/cap_com for more information on this important effort.

Please remember that is a five year effort. For example, a $1,000.00 per year pledge totals $5,000.00 over five years. Additionally, naming opportunities are available. Please contact Dick Huebler, Campaign Chair, for more information on naming opportunities.  Finally, many have inquired about whether bonds will be issued to help finance this endeavor. At this time, it is our hope to raise enough money, over five years, to eliminate any need to finance a debt. In addition to the enclosed brochure that explains the purpose of the Capital Campaign, please visit the Capital Campaign website at www.appc.us/cap_com  You will find answers to frequently asked questions in addition to timely updates on the progress of the Capital Campaign. Copies of the frequently asked questions will also be available in the church office and questions and answers will be frequently updated throughout the Capital Campaign. As we embark on this crucial time in the life of our church, we ask that you prayerfully consider your pledge. Thank you for your love and support of APPC.  Please keep this campaign in your prayers as we work together to make our building open to all of God’s children.

Sincerely,

Reverend Doug Blaikie
